Pupils report on Enviroglass Visit

Following a tour of the Enviroglass factory, the Anderson High School ASN department have produced a booklet about their visit. Containing lots of pictures, the booklet gives a good overview of what happens at Enviroglass, showing how the islands empty bottles are turned into a range of quality products.

Chris Massie, Factory Manager at Enviroglass, said: “The class were very interested during the tour and asked a lot of questions. It is great to see that they used all the knowledge gained to produce this fantastic booklet. The pupils have done a great job.”

Hilary Conabeer, ASN Teacher, said, “All the pupils were fascinated to see all the different stages of recycling required in order to transform glass bottles into first class products we can all use!”

Pupil Ellie Lynch (14) said, “We all loved the feeling of warm sparkly glass chippings running through our fingers.”
